Neal Simpson’s journey in hospitality is a story of passion, discipline, and discovery. A combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Neal learned early the values of leadership, teamwork, and precision, lessons that would later shape his approach to serving people in a very different kind of arena, the restaurant and spirits industry.
Neal began his hospitality career at Barnett’s Whiskey House as a bartender, where he first discovered his love for craft cocktails. He was drawn not only to the artistry of mixing flavors but to the way a thoughtfully crafted drink could transform a guest’s experience. Inspired to deepen his knowledge, Neal pursued and earned his Sommelier Certification, blending his appreciation for fine spirits with an expert understanding of flavor, technique, and hospitality.
His talent and dedication propelled him into leadership roles. Neal became the General Manager of Lighthouse Coffee and Wine, refining his skills in team management and operations, before partnering with Chef Tomas to help open BLVD Steakhouse, immersing himself in the artistry and precision of fine dining. Each step of his journey strengthened his commitment to creating memorable experiences for guests and meaningful mentorship for his team.
Returning to Barnett’s Whiskey House as General Manager, Neal now leads with the same discipline and care that guided him as a Marine, while infusing every interaction with warmth, creativity, and expertise. He curates the seasonal craft cocktail menu, oversees operations, and ensures that every guest feels valued, welcomed, and inspired to return.
